Things to do in Falkirk

Falkirk is known for two landmarks, the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. Here's what they are, how to use a short stay well, and where an escape room fits in.

The Kelpies

30-metre horse-head sculptures by artist Andy Scott, at The Helix park. Tours take you inside them, and the visitor centre has a café, gift shop and exhibition. Tours and parking at The Helix →

The Falkirk Wheel

The world's only rotating boat lift, linking the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Union Canal 35 metres above. Boat trips take about an hour and booking ahead is recommended. Times and tickets at Scottish Canals →

Callendar House and more

Callendar House hosts exhibitions and events, and Visit Falkirk lists family days out, history and parks across the area. See Visit Falkirk →

One night in Falkirk

Pick one landmark and add one indoor activity. A private escape room game takes up to 60 minutes, plus up to 15 minutes of briefing, and we're a short walk from Falkirk Grahamston station.

When it rains

Our games are indoors in the Megazone building on Grahams Road, and everything you need is already in the room. No special clothing required.

A day trip from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Stirling

Falkirk is close to all three cities. Combine a landmark with a game, allow time to travel between stops, and check timetables and opening times before you set off.

Escape rooms in Falkirk

Divergent Games has three original games for private groups of 2–6 players, from £20 to £28 per person.
