FAQs
Before you're locked in.
What is an escape room?
A live team game with a set time limit — usually, you're working together to escape a themed room. It's built around teamwork and communication, and suits players with all kinds of skills.
Will I really be locked in?
No — you're never truly locked in. Every room has an emergency exit, and a games master monitors your game from another room the whole time.
Is it scary?
That depends on the room's theme — check the room descriptions above. All of our current rooms are family friendly.
How long does it last?
Allow up to 15 minutes for your briefing, then the game itself runs for up to 60 minutes.
Will I be playing with strangers?
Never. All games are private — it's only your group in the room.
Do I need to be athletic, or bring anything?
No. The games are mainly mental, with only a few light tasks. Everything you need is already in the room, and no special clothing is required.
Can children play?
Yes — the rooms are family friendly. Under-14s need an adult (18+) in the room for the whole game; ages 14–15 need an adult on the premises; ages 16–17 can play unaccompanied, but an adult must make the booking.
Where do I park?
There's parking right outside the escape rooms on Grahams Road, and on-street parking nearby. Please don't use the doctors' surgery car park.
What language are the games in?
The games are in English at the moment, but there isn't much text: it's really just fun and little clues. Our staff speak English and can use translation apps to talk with you.
